Stag AKA Horned God Wall Hanging

Hello Fabric Lovers! I've had this stag panel in my stash for years. I wanted a quick project to place as a backdrop on my home office wall that I would enjoy looking at most of the day. I used the tie-quilt technique on this panel, fashioned some fabric hangers for the top, and voila—I have a lovely wall hanging for my office. This was made with three layers as you usually would have with quilts—the top, middle batting, and fabric backing.

There are lots of great tutorials for tie quilting on YouTube such as this one. Depending on the thickness of your fabric, you may want to use a curved tapestry needle to help navigate through the layers. I used black worsted yarn, but you might prefer embroidery floss or lighter or heavier weight yarn. I honestly haven't decided if I'm going to keep this as is or add some machine quilting to set it off more or add more yarn ties. Right now though, I'm enjoying the view.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're inspired. Happy crafting.
